Commercial: Buff for Lunch

I was just telling my office mates the other day that  after my cousin’s wedding I will have my hair cut and I  want it really short. I’ve been wanting to cut my hair.  Dala siguro ng stress kaya buhok ang  pinagdidisketahan.

So this morning I noticed a sign across our shop that says FREE HAIRCUT FOR THE FIRST 50  HEADS.

YOOON!

So during lunch break I went there and alas pang number 41 ako :D I changed my mind about cutting my hair really short, since I still have to attend one more wedding this year. BUTTTT I think I lost a kilo after my hair cut :D . I feel “betterer”.

Grabe pati yang mga ganyang simpleng kahilingan e pinagbigyan  ng Lord. *Tambling tambling*.

Thank You Lord, for making me smile today. :)

PLUG, PLUG:

BUFF BARBERS is now open at the 5th floor of Mega Atrium. Hahaha at hindi lang sila mga barbero meron ding hair cutters for women. OKAYYY?!!!

I’m thank you bow.

I <3 Krispy Kreme

I just had a cup of coffee from Krispy Kreme and my whole being is wide awake (whole being talaga ‘te).

I went to Krispy Kreme to buy coffee and an original glazed donut. I was paying my bills when the staff assisted me, gave me another donut and said, “Ma’am itry nyo po.” She winked at me and smiled. YOOON Free donut!  Thank You Lord for making me smile.

These passed days are kinda ‘extra challenge’ for me, specially at work. During one of my devotions, this is what the Lord has to say:

Psalms 37:1-8

1 Don’t worry about the wicked
or envy those who do wrong.
2 For like grass, they soon fade away.
Like spring flowers, they soon wither.

3 Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.

5 Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.
6 He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.

7 Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes.

 8 Stop being angry!
Turn from your rage!
Do not lose your temper—
it only leads to harm.

In response I pray Lord, show me and teach me  me how. How to trust in You, take delight in You, commit everything I do to You and be still before You.

Wonderful promises in store for those who does.

Everything I need

Lord, I need You to be

All the gentleness in me.

I’ve been trying by myself standing all alone.

From the very start I knew

that I must depend on You.

Here I am depending Lord, the rest is up to You.

You’re everything I need for you to be

You’re everything that shines inside of me.

And I will have a strength to do, all You ask of me.

I will always let You be everything I need for You to be.

You are the one who put the stars up in the sky

To brighten up the emptiness of space

And You put a light for me to stay

A dream that will not die away to brighten everyday

and I know that I can say…

You’re everything I need for you to be

You’re everything that shines inside of me.

And I will have a strength to do, all You ask of me.

I will always let You be everything I need for You to be.

I need You to be

You’re everything I need.

(This is a song from the play Joseph the Dreamer. I used to sing this in my room when I was little. :D  Thank You Father for songs like this that can articulate what I want to say :D )

The End

What do you do when its the end?

You grieve.

You get angry.

You blame people, or yourself.

You throw things or better burn them.

You send hate mails and post hate blogs.

You cry before going to sleep and after waking up. Then you cry some more until your eyes literally hurt.

Then you realize you have to pick up the shattered pieces of the past and surrender to the arms of the Great Healer and let Him restore and comfort you.

Because when you do, you’ll understand that what’s meant to be the end is a beautiful beginning of another season and journey.

And you’ll be excited about life again.

And dream new dreams.

Cross new roads.

All possible because of the Real Story Teller’s grace and mercy.

Tuesday Thanksgiving

Today I am thankful for:

Thank you Starbucks!

1. Half-priced Frappuccino – promo of Starbucks that runs until May 8 every 12 -2pm. One of the best solutions to a VERY hot weather like this. You made my day (and the coming days) bearable.

I was actually surprised to see a long line today given that it is a weekday at the mall. But the 50% off is worth the wait. Hahaha. I shall try coffee jelly tomorrow okay? :D

2. Opportunities – Something’s brewing although I’m keeping my mouth shut muna. I AM HEXCITED! :D

3. Dinner with not-so new friends – After work I went out with the Chef, his soon-to-be (nakks) girlfriend and the girl’s BFFs. Friendly talaga ako sa personal! haha. The girl’s circle of BFFs is composed of the following: my former IVPM Ortigas cell leader, the 100% success rate client, and Meril, the soon-to-be next client yikeee. :D

Sprinkles of joy. :D Thank You Lord :)

Happy Birthday Rabbi!

Pastor Dave with his disciples

Dear Rabbi,

I am proud and blessed to call you my Pastor and Discipler. Your gift of teaching inspires and makes me understand the Word more ATTT kinikilig si Tita Nory kapag nagpepreach kayo hehe. Thank you for sharing your life (and your house and food –atleast every Thursday) to us. Your love and fear of the Lord is evident in your life, salamat po sa example na pinapakita nyo. Lahat ng lalake ay gumagodly at pumopogi pag katabi ka.  I pray that the Lord will continue to bless you and your family. I pray that He will continue to equip and use you for His work. I thank the Lord for you Rabbi. You rock!
